Maybe too late to get enough cash for that one. It would require a tremendous capital investment to match the estimate, which could double or triple….who knows.

So, it is no surprise to see Queen Elizabeth II touring. There is something to celebrate and in style.

Her Diamond Jubilee is taking place early June 2012.

So today, coincidentally The Queen visited the Westcountry and more precisely Exeter, where I was too.

Her Majesty was suited and booted for the occasion!

The other coincidence was the colour choice of her garment: imperial purple - Ozwald Boateng’s trademark colour who, designed the very exclusive Coutts World Credit Card.

So, did she actually give a kind of subliminal message through what she was wearing, as Coutts & Co private bank is the financial establishment which keeps her fortune.

Could this be a new kind of marketing campaign/sponsorship through plain clothes?

Probably just a correlation! But the city was shaking of excitement.

Here are five important reasons why you should think about making a will:

1. Who Will Take Care of Your Children?

Above everything else, your children are your most valuable and important asset and you care deeply about what happens to them. If you have young children, you will be able to state in your will who you would like to take custody of them if you die. You can even write a letter to the trustees of your children explaining how you would like your children to be brought up. If this is not specified, they could end up in foster care or somewhere else which might not be the best situation for them.

2. Your Partner Could be Left With Nothing

If you and your partner are living together but are not married, they would have no automatic right to any of your property. In case of a sudden and fatal accident they could have everything taken away from them and be evicted from your home. If you are not married to your partner, but still wish for them to have your assets when you die, you need to write this in a will.

If you die without making a will, and you have no family, everything that you own could go to the government. Perhaps you don’t mind this, but you might also want your legacy to be donated to a charity or a scholarship program in your name instead.

4. You Decide Who Carries Out Your Wishes

One of the things that you can specify in your will is who is in charge of administering your estate. This means that you can choose someone that you trust to carry out your dying wishes. This can be a spouse, a best friend, or a trusted solicitor. You will not have to let someone that you don’t know or don’t trust deal with determine what happens to all of your earthy possessions.
